Focus & Scope
Jurnal Sosial Indonesia focuses on the publication of scholarly research and conceptual studies in the field of social sciences that examine social realities, dynamics, and transformations in Indonesia. The journal serves as a platform for the development of critical thought, theoretical analysis, and empirical findings relevant to social, cultural, economic, and public policy issues within Indonesian society at local, national, and regional levels.
The scope of Jurnal Sosial Indonesia includes, but is not limited to, the following themes: social dynamics and social change; social structures, power relations, and social inequality; culture, identity, and local wisdom; education and processes of social character formation; media, technology, and the transformation of social interaction; public policy and its impacts on social life; social development and community empowerment; as well as contemporary social issues such as gender, poverty, urbanization, and social inclusion.
The journal accepts articles based on field research, case studies, qualitative and quantitative research, as well as literature reviews and theoretical reflections that employ interdisciplinary approaches within the social sciences, including sociology, anthropology, political science, public administration, communication studies, and development studies. All published articles are expected to demonstrate clear academic contributions, empirical relevance, and theoretical and/or practical implications for the advancement of social science and the resolution of social problems in Indonesia.
